Hi, I’m Gemma!
I joined Carricks in 2025 as part of the Adviser Support team, working closely with our advisers to ensure clients receive the highest level of care and attention throughout every stage of their journey. My role involves keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, from preparing documentation and managing communication to making sure each client interaction feels organised, clear, and personal.
What I enjoy most about my work is knowing that what I do helps make a real difference for clients. Whether it’s assisting with applications or following up on progress, I take pride in providing support that feels professional and approachable. Every day brings something different, and I love being part of a team that genuinely values collaboration and client experience.
Before joining Carricks, I developed a foundation in financial services and administration, building skills in organisation, communication, and client care, all of which I bring to my current role. I completed a Bachelor of Management Studies (Honours), majoring in Finance and Supply Chain, in 2024 and am continuing to expand my knowledge through further study with the New Zealand Polytechnic. I’m passionate about continual learning and enjoy finding new ways to make processes more efficient while maintaining a personal touch.
I grew up in Whakatāne, in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, and still love spending time outdoors whenever I can. During the summer months, you’ll often find me out fishing, making the most of the sunshine and the water. I also love baking and trying out new recipes to share with family and friends (though the kitchen doesn’t always stay as tidy as I’d like!). Balancing work with hobbies that help me recharge is something I really value.
I’m excited for the year ahead and to continue growing with the Carricks team by supporting our clients and our advisers.
